One third of each force would be on the battlefield, squaring up to each other. The remaining forces would arrive on different roads.

View from the British/Hessian side of the field, I'd be playing these forces.
The plan would be to batter the Americans in the centre, then quickly move up the two remaining forces.
View from the American/French side, Jack & Amy would be playing these forces.
Jack would HOLD the British then Amy would attack with the French, hopefully Jack would be able to get the remaining American forces to attack across the river.

To add some spice to 'initial pre battle manoeuvres', we 'diced' off, highest score gets an extra set of PiPs. Jack & Amy won of course.....grrrr. Next time...The Battle!
