HITT WW1 British vs Germans - Big Push Part 2

Over the Top!
The British forces consist of three separate Battle Groups each headed by a Tank. The Reserve Battlegroup of Cavalry, Field Artillery & Armoured Cars will be activated and deployed once the 2nd Trench is reached.  They will then move forward for the 'Breakthrough'.  Support will come in the form of Airpower, the Dreaded Barrage, Heavy Artillery and Poison Gas.

The German force is split into three. The First Trench, static troops without a PiP roll, when they break they'll fall back to the Second Trench. The Second Trench, have more forces, with a PiP roll to adjust troops & counter the Dreaded Barrage OR call in the Fly Boys. The Reserve Force of Tanks, Troops and Cavalry will be activated once the Brits hit the Second Trench Line. They then get 2 PiP Rolls and can then move to the front.

Poison Gas is launched at the German Lines

The British creep forward

  2. Ah, Biggles, one of my childhood heroes (I've just seen a book [in ASDA] with a collection of Biggles stories - boy, was I tempted to buy it.)

By the way, is that German ace the evil...Dick Von Dastardly?
I only ask because I thought I could see a sniggering dog in the navigator's seat.

Great write-up Mr. F. I'm coming back for more.

  3. Cheers Fellas! The game is going well for the Brits. Hordes in the Trenches is a nice little ruleset, it does capture what we aimed to do. Though we'll have to see if the Cavalry can find the GAP now!

    cheers
