Indian Mutiny 1 - Save the Ghurkas

"Save the Ghurkas!" but Joanna Lumley is nowhere in sight this time....
http://www.gurkhajustice.org.uk/

The first battle in our Indian Mutiny Campaign. The Rebellion is in full swing, the loyal Ghurka troops at Rangapore have been besieged by the Mutineers. Two British columns set off to relieve the Garrison.

We added a few extra elements to the Army listings for each side. The British must reach the Garrison before the two Ghurka elements are destroyed by the Mutineers.

Well, that's a victory for the Indians, even though they suffered a lot of casualties,

  1. Great battle! I enjoyed it right to the end.
You've done it again Mr F., an action to "save the Gurkhas" just when I'm starting to paint up a few companies of the fellows myself.
I can't remember if I've already asked, but what scale are your figures? (25/28mm?) and from where did you get your buildings? Did you make them yourself? They are super and add a real colonial "feel" to your table.

    Steve.

  2. Cheers Steve, the figures are all 15mm. The buildings we got off EBay, but I remember the seller said they were from Essex.

    All the Best

  3. I should add, they are the resin types & they were dead easy to paint.

  4. Thanks for the info Mr F. It's most enlightening.
I've checked the Essex website but all I can see is a line of 15mm scale buildings made by "Hovels". I'm not sure if Essex make their own middle east/indian type buildings, I'll have to ask.
I already have a few 6mm scale "Hovels" (18th Century) so I'll probably purchase some of their 15mm middle eastern stuff as well.
Thanks again for the details, and whatever you do, don't let that mutiny succeed!

    Steve.
    I'll be back.
